This short film stood out to me due to the strong cinematography and messages displayed. The use of naturalistic performances, lack of editing and free camera movement allows for a very realistic approach. The contrast in colour and lighting highlights the differing emotions from the happier safe times in the boys lives compared to their present dark unfortunate situation. Although no dialogue is used sound is key to informing us of the narrative as well as creating atmosphere. The short film is well produced, looks professional and even though it appears independent in style there is a clear sense of genre.
